Anne Marie Loikits Obituary

Anne Marie Loikits, 87, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, resilience, faith, and unwavering devotion to those closest to her heart.

Anne was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than 65 years, Raymond Loikits, and her brother, Charles Steele.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Pam Stebbins, and son-in-law, Rich Stebbins; her son, Todd Loikits; her cherished grandchildren, Rachael, Ryan, and Jordan; and her adored great-grandchildren, Izzy, Gabi, and Iliza. Her family was the center of her world, and nothing brought her greater joy than watching it grow through the generations.

Anne met the love of her life, Ray Loikits, while attending St. Joseph High School. They were married on October 24, 1959, beginning a remarkable life together built on loyalty, compassion, laughter, and an unshakable commitment to family. Together, Anne and Ray created a home filled with warmth, support, and unconditional love.

Raised through difficult circumstances, Anne Marie developed a resilience and inner strength that defined her life. Through those hardships, her faith became her foundation and guiding light, shaping the compassionate, selfless, and steadfast woman she would become. Her deep faith carried her through life’s challenges and inspired the way she cared for others, always leading with grace, humility, and kindness. Those qualities guided her as she built a beautiful and strong family, always offering encouragement, comfort, and unconditional love to everyone around her.

Anne also dedicated more than 30 years of service to the Berrien County Courts, a role she took immense pride in. Her professionalism, kindness, and dedication left a lasting impact on both colleagues and the community she faithfully served.

To her family and friends, Anne was truly a beacon of light — someone whose presence made others feel loved, welcomed, and cared for. Her family was the most important part of her life, and her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the faith she carried, the values she instilled, and the countless memories shared with those she loved most.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Scott Stambaugh officiating. Interment will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Visitation will take place prior, from noon until 1:30 pm also at the funeral home.
