He was in football and was always interested in science. Carl had a lifelong love of photography, working at a photography store as a teenager. He was always behind the lens, whether taking nature shots or photos of his grandchildren playing sports.

Carl came to Michigan to study to be a paramedic in Grand Rapids. After school he attained a job at Medic 1 where he worked as a paramedic first responder for 36 years. He married Lolita Wilson, the love of his life, in 1992 under a blooming mimosa tree at the home of Lolly’s parents. Carl always said Lolly was the love of his life. Spending time with his family meant the world to Carl and he will be dearly missed by all.
