Alice M. Sieber Obituary

Alice M. Sieber, 95, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021.

A funeral celebrating her life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 10th, at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Alice’s memory be made to the Coloma American Legion or American Heart Association.

Alice was born March 19, 1926 in Eau Claire, Michigan and was one of twelve children born to Lyle and Blanche Merrill. On Nov. 18, 1944, Alice married Monroe Sieber. The couple celebrated 61 years of marriage prior to Monroe’s passing in 2006. Alice had worked at Modern Plastics for twenty years before her retirement. She was also a member of the Coloma American Legion. In her early years she enjoyed dancing. Family was important to Alice. She loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Robert) Pellow of Dowagiac and Kayleen (Greg) Schultz of Hartford; three sons, Dennis (Darlene) Sieber of Dowagiac, Tom (Linda) Sieber of Bangor and Steve (Brenda) Sieber of Hartford; sisters, Aletha Archer, Betty Schoetzow, Mildred Miller, Louise Duffy and Marian Shemick, all of Dowagiac; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Monroe, her parents and six brothers.
