Minnie A. Deja

Minnie A. Deja, 93, of Stevensville, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at CrownPointe in Stevensville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 22th, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 220 Church Street, St. Joseph, with Father Jim Morris officiating. Burial will be held following the service at 3 P.M at Spring Run Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family Sunday, December 21 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., Saint Joseph. Minnie was born October 1, 1921 in St. Joseph, Michigan to Clarence & Isabelle (Einbecker) Scott. She married the love of her life, Frank J. Deja on November 11, 1939. For many years the two of them lived and worked on their family farm. Minnie loved being a farm wife. She was a dedicated member to St. Joseph Catholic Church as well as a member of the Dashing Dozen Home Economics Club.

Minne is survived by her children Joan (Andrew) Noble of Denton, TX, Connie (Dale) Kubicki of St. Joseph, Philip (Leslie) Deja of Mount Pleasant, MI, Frank (Deborah) Deja of Stevensville, Scott (Bonnie) Deja of South Haven; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and many friends at CrownPointe. She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence & Isabelle; her husband Frank; siblings George Scott, Lois Mischke, and Althea Sanders.
