Roger F. Mullauer Obituary

Roger F. Mullauer, 86 of Coloma passed away at his lake house in Paw Paw on Friday, August 13, 2021.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held 4 PM Friday, August 20 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home where the family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service.  Donations in memory of Roger may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.  Those wishing to leave an online message of remembrance may do so by using the "Guestbook" link located on this page.

Roger was born April 8, 1935 in Moline, Illinois to Francis and Elinor (Fleiss) Mullauer.  He retired from Holly's Incorporated after over 35 years of service, 15 of those years being with Holly's Landing in St Joseph as the restaurant manager.  Roger also worked for Mercy Center in Benton Harbor for two years as their cafe manager and six years for Lake Cora Golf Hills in Paw Paw as their clubhouse manager.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Hartford, the Michigan Restaurant Association, the Coloma American Legion Post 362, and was a U.S. veteran of the Army.  Roger was very active at his winter home in Haines City, Fla. overseeing many of their community activities.  During the summer months he could be found spending time at his cottage on Eagle Lake in Paw Paw.  In his free time he enjoyed golf, bocce ball, playing cards, watching M.A.S.H. and westerns, especially John Wayne. He was an avid collector of unique beer steins.

Roger is survived by his wife Kay (Henderson) whom he married Dec. 29, 1962, sons Craig (Jessica) Mullauer of Hartford, Brian Mullauer of Coloma, daughters Dana (Kevin) Emans of St. Joseph, and Amy (John) Peters of Fort Wayne, Ind.  Also surviving are six grandchildren, Caleb (Emily) Mullauer, Lauren Schaeffer, Bailey Schaeffer, Jordan (Nate) Parmann, Allen Peters, Dustin (Katie) Peters, and 4 great grandchildren, Jami Peters, Tommy Peters, Alice Parmann, and Molly Mullauer, along with one more on the way in September.

In addition to his parents Roger was preceded in death by his brother Gordon Mullauer
