Denise A. Patzer Obituary

Denise A. Patzer passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at her home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 4 at 1:00 pm at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI 49085. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions in Denise’s memory may be made to Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan.

Denise was born on October 15, 1956 to Reinhold and Ruth (Fechner) Patzer in St. Joseph. A lifelong resident of the area, Denise attended Trinity Lutheran School until the 8th grade and then attended St. Joseph High School.

Denise enjoyed reading and cooking and always had a smile on her face. She loved making others laugh and cheering up those who needed it. Denise never knew a stranger and loved striking up conversations with anybody about anything. She was an avid University of Michigan football fan, enjoyed spending time at the beach, and often painted rocks that were then hidden for others to find. Denise loved her family and had a special bond with her niece and nephew, taking on a grandmother role along with her aunt privileges.

Denise will always be remembered by her sister, Cindy (Terry) Kaser; nephew, Brandon (Amanda) Kaser and their children, Anthony and Wyatt and niece, Lindsay Kaser. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Brad Patzer.
