Donna Fay Stroud Obituary

Donna Fay Stroud, 77, of Benton Harbor, passed away Monday, May 18, 2026 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Yore Community Church in Benton Harbor. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Cremation will take place following the service.

Donna was born November 13, 1948 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Leland and Edna Bowren. She and Larry Stroud were married on August 5, 1966 and celebrated 48 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2015. Prior to retiring in 2010, Donna had been employed with Clem & Bobbies Dry Cleaners for 19 years. In her free time, she enjoyed working in her flower garden at home. Donna was also the neighborhood mom, unselfishly raising many more kids than her own. Her favorite love though was spending her time with her children and grandchildren. Whether it was a family barbeque or other celebration, she would always go above and beyond the ordinary to make sure it became a special time for everyone attending.

Donna is survived by her three sons, Larry (Zoey) Stroud of Benton Harbor, William “Bill” (Lorie) Stroud of Coloma, and Kenneth (Debra) Stroud of Watervliet; her brother Roger Bowren of Benton Harbor; her sister Pam (Wayne) Haigler of Baroda; her sister-in-law Debbie Bowren of Benton Harbor; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband Larry; two brothers Bruce and Norman Bowren, and her grandson Ryan Stroud.
