Josephine L. Cupp Obituary

Josephine L. Cupp, 100, of Stevensville, passed away, Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Valley View Care Center in Elkhart, Indiana.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 24, 2024 at Stevensville United Methodist Church, 5506 Ridge Rd., Stevensville, with Rev. Elise Low-Edwardson officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10:00 A.M. Friday at the Church. Josephine was born January 4, 1924 in Ludington, MI to Algot & Lorraine (Spencer) Johnson. Her family moved to St. Joseph where she graduated high school class of 1942. On March 20, 1943 she married Frank D. Cupp in Glendale, CA while he was stationed there in the U.S. Army Air Corp. Upon discharge, they settled in Fort Lauderdale, FL where Josephine served as the Bookkeeper for the family business, H.K. Cupp & Sons in Fort Lauderdale & Stevensville. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Lauderdale. After retirement, they moved to Stevensville and she & Frank enjoyed traveling the US and abroad between Alaska & Australia & New Guinea. She was a member of Stevensville United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. In her free time, Josephine enjoyed tending to her rose gardens and spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren.

Josephine is survived by her daughter Connie Kay (John) Meacham of Stevensville; three granddaughters-Sarah (Max) Tackett, Jennifer (Chris Sackett) Meacham, Natalie Feldman; great-grandchildren-Nolan & Weston Tackett, Madisyn Sackett, Steven Sackett, twins-Tatum & Tessa Tackett, Tea & Aubrey Feldman; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded by her husband Frank D. on December 19, 2013 and her son Frank V. Cupp in January 1991.
