Marchele Yvette Polashak Obituary

Marchele (Shelly) Yvette (Yeager) Polashak, 55 of Sister Lakes passed away Monday, December 21, 2020 with her loving husband by her side.

Shelly was born January 9th, 1965 in South Bend, IN., the daughter of Lewis and Mila (Jones) West.

While Shelly attended Hartford high school, she also attended Sister Lakes Beauty Academy. She graduated both in 1984. She married the love of her life in 1992. Although she loved being a hair stylist for 20 years, her compassion for helping and caring for people led her to enroll in the nursing program at Lake Michigan Community College. She went on to graduate with high honors in 2004. She has since cared for patients as a top cardiac nurse for the past 16 years at Lakeland Hospital.

 Shelly enjoyed life. She loved to travel and learn new things. She enjoyed gardening, bird & butterfly watching, taking photos of all that she saw beautiful. She loved to star gaze and watch the sun set. She enjoyed learning the rocks and gems of the earth. She also loved spending quality time with family and those she loved. Shelly had a great love for God. She spent a lot of time studying his word and would eagerly share her knowledge of it.

Surviving is her loving husband Terry Polashak of 28 years; her mom, Mila West; sisters, Rose(Roy)Smith, Stacey(Chris)Oxley and Katrina(Tom)Schrimsher; and brothers Leonard(Cindy)Cameron, Lewis West and Robert West.

Shelly was proceeded in death by her dad, Lewis West; brothers Kevin West and Eddie Yeager.

A private service will be held at Duffield and Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma, December 30th, 2020. Cremation has taken place.
