Inge received a degree in accounting, and worked locally in the Rhineland Germany area before marrying her husband John W. Scott. Upon becoming a widow, moved to Coloma Michigan to raise her children. She became the business manager for a local bowling alley. Where she picked up bowling and enjoyed it very much. She placed second in the state of Michigan for the Women's USBC tournament. Inge was a member of the St. Joseph-Benton Harbor Elks Lodge and the St. Joseph Kickers Club.  While enjoying the Michigan summers, she also became an avid snowbird and stayed in Delray Beach, Florida for many years. One of Inge’s passions and delight were her grandchildren. She loved to have get-togethers, where she cooked and baked cakes, where nobody's birthday was ever gone un-celebrated.

Inge is survived by her three children, John R. Scott of Benton Harbor Michigan., Sandy H. Scott of New Carlisle Indiana, and Thomas R. Scott of Hartford Michigan. Also survived by her three brothers, Gerd Urbutzka, Klaus Urbutzka, and Jürgen Urbutzka. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Derek Swank, Andrew Swank, Cody Scott, Austen Scott, and Stephanie Scott. She was a beloved Oma to six great-grandchildren.
