Dale Knuth Obituary

Dale was born December 24, 1932 in Berrien Springs, MI, son of Robert F. Knuth and Alice V. Heyn. He graduated from Berrien Springs High School in 1950. He married Evelyn Baes in 1955 and together celebrated 66 years of marriage. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran.

Dale was employed at Michigan Gas Utilities Company for 37 years and retired in 1993. He enjoyed going to the Berrien County Youth Fair, loved horses, and competed in barrel racing in his youth. He loved to travel and visited Germany, Alaska and many national parks.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, sons Timothy of Berrien Center, MI and Kevin of Riverview, FL, grandchildren James, Justin, Christopher and Kristen Knuth, great-grandchildren Emma and Ava Knuth, brothers Dwane and William Knuth of Berrien Springs, MI, sisters Janice Tropp of St. Joseph, MI, Marji Oberlander of San Diego, CA, stepsisters Norma Klemz of Las Cruces, NM, Donna Neeser of Osceola, IN, Nancy Whetstone of Westerville, OH and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Dale passed away August 17, 2021 at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Barbara Totzke, and a daughter-in-law Stephanie (Kevin) Knuth.
