Christopher R. Koch, 69, of Benton Harbor, MI passed away Wednesday, September 03, 2014 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.

Chris was born October 6, 1944 in Panama City, FL to John Jr. & Dorothy (Bishop) Koch. He was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School in 1962. Chris went on to attend Michigan State University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and receive his CPA. He worked as a CPA at Austin Tax. Chris was a member of the FOP Lodge 96 in St. Joseph, and the Elks Club in Benton Harbor. He loved fishing, golfing and watching racing. Chris was an avid Michigan State Spartans fan.

He is survived by his brother John (Rosalie) Koch III of Benton Harbor, nieces and nephews Kim Koch of Eau Claire, John (Stacie) Koch IV of St. Joseph, and Bryan (Julie Anna) Koch of Villa Rica, GA and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
