Pamela Jean Silcox Obituary
Pamela Jean Silcox of St. Joseph, passed away unexpectedly on May 10, 2026, with family by her side. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her beautiful spirit will be deeply missed. She was the light of many lives.
Pam was born on May 12, 1947, in Benton Harbor, MI to Samuel and Maryellen (Conrad) Rizzo, the oldest of four children. She was a ’65 graduate of Benton Harbor High School. Shortly after graduation she would marry Steven, the love of her life, and they would share 59 happy years together. She worked for many years at Whirlpool before retiring to focus on the finer things in life: family and friends, food, music and wine. Pam was a loving, faithful woman who was equally strong and graceful. She developed a love for sports through her dad at a young age; she loved Notre Dame football and golf, but her biggest cheers were always saved for her grandkids. She never missed a game or concert! When Pam wasn’t attending sporting or school events, she loved spending time with her friends; sharing and making memories over food and wine was one of her favorite things.
Pam is survived by her loving husband, Steve; children, Amy (Collins) and Scott (Anna); sister Diane (Troy) Mott; grandchildren Alexa, Max, Kale, Evan, and Milo; nephews Adam Rizzo, Michael and Tyler Curtis along with many dear friends.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gregg and sister Debbie Camp. We will always be comforted by the warmth of her love.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, May 18, 2026, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Lori’s Place.
