Patricia Ann Lottridge Obituary
Patricia Ann Lottridge, 89, of Sawyer, MI, went to meet her Lord & Savior on the morning of July 24th, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Arrangements are entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, St. Joseph. Memorial donations in Patricia’s name may be made to the Harbert Community Church in Sawyer, MI. Patricia was born on November 16th,1935, in Benton Harbor, MI, to Homer & Alice Forsythe. On September 19th, 1959, she married the love of her life, John Wesley Lottridge, in Watervliet, MI. John & Patricia were married for 50 years, and had a beautiful marriage centered in faith. She worked for many years at Crystal Springs and the Christmas Tree in Benton Harbor, MI, as a floral designer. She was incredibly talented and loved to bring joy into people’s lives with her beautiful arrangements and décor. Patricia was known for her unwavering love for her family, her kind heart, and her boundless generosity. She found joy in gardening, baking, spending time with her family, and serving the lord through her church and various missions. She was a devoted mentor, volunteering with Peace Partners at Peace Temple United Methodist Church in Benton Harbor, MI, for many years. At the age of 83, she traveled to Africa on a mission trip along with other members from Harbert Community Church, sharing her Christian faith with orphaned children. She has touched countless lives with her kindness and compassion.
Patricia is survived by her loving children, Terri (Richard) Bolek of Irons, MI, Pamela (Neill) Kirkwood of Nappanee, IN, and Monica (Karl) Werelius of Sawyer, MI. She was a proud grandmother to Kate (Zach) Schewe, Wesley (Kaitlyn) Kirkwood, Hannah (Zak) Huff, William Kirkwood, Lillian Werelius, and Isabel Werelius. She was blessed with 5 great-grandchildren, Jameson, Annie, & Collin Schewe, and Otis & Cal Kirkwood. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Prudence “Prue” Kiekenapp of South Haven, MI, and her sisters-in law, Mary Ann Forsythe of Benton Harbor, MI, Ellie Forsythe of South Haven, MI, Judy (Herb) Kehlstrom of Racine, WI, Jeanette Lottridge of Watervliet, MI, as well as many dear nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Lottridge, as well as her siblings, Jean (Forsythe) Stauffer, Preston Forsythe, Vernon “Dick” Forsythe, and Margaret (Forsythe) Ludwig.
