Rose Gentry Obituary

Rose Gentry, age 78, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at her home.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 15 at 11:00 am at Taylor Cemetery, Ganges, MI. A Celebration of Life Gathering will follow the burial at People Helping People of Pullman, 925 56th St., Pullman, MI, from 12:00 – 4:00 pm on Saturday. Arrangements by Filbrandt Chapel, 1076 S. Rose was born on April 25, 1948 to Claude and Mildred (Huddleston) Holtsclaw in Cardwell, MO. On August 18, 1973, Rose married Kenneth Gentry. Rose enjoyed quilting, collecting and antiquing, and spending time in her flower garden surrounded by animals and nature. Rose loved her family, she raised seven children and adored being a grandma, great-grandma, and great-great grandma.

Rose will always be remembered by her children, Jerry Vernon, Gina Vernon, Richard (Melinda) Vernon, Robin (Robert) Martin, Kenny (Monica) Gentry Jr, and Amanda (Ruben) Gonzalez; grandchildren, Matthew, Jeremy, Sara, Steven, Justin, Riki, Evan, Adam, Brent, Stephanie, Mandy, Alyssa, Brittney, Ryan, MacKayla, Lynnzey, Amalia, Ruby, Ruben Jr.; Maria, and Yolanda; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and siblings, Paul and Carol.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; son, Mack Gentry; grandsons, Scottie and Saul; parents, Claude and Mildred; and siblings, Cecil “Junior”, Theo, and Jim.

Rose will always be loved and remembered by her family and friends.
