Ruth Elaine Visscher Reedyk Obituary

Ruth Elaine Visscher Reedyk, 86, of St. Joseph passed away on May 26, 2024 with her daughters by her side.
Ruth was born on May 14, 1938 to Henry & Jennie Visscher in Delton, MI. After Ruth graduated from Delton High School in 1956 she went on to study X-ray technology and attended Reformed Bible College where she met the love of her life, Jacob Reedyk. Married on September 2, 1960, they added two daughters to their family - Elaine (Paul) Yskes & Lorraine (Jim) Valk. After serving the Lord for 35 years in what is currently Parable Christian Store of St Joseph, she retired and spent time traveling and working on genealogies.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jacob, her two daughters and their husbands, grandchildren Joshua (Emily) Yskes, Philip Yskes, Daniel (Courtney) Yskes, Jessalyn (Doug) Vander Hulst, Josiah (Brittany) Valk, Micah (Hailey) Valk & Isaac (Sara) Valk, 4 great-grandchildren Brenna, Simon, Marcus & Jay and siblings Don Visscher, Elie (Ron) Herrygers, Jean Alban, Paul (Shirley) Visscher & John (Rose) Visscher. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 7, 2024 at St. Joseph Christian Reformed Church, 3275 Washington Avenue, St. Joseph with dessert reception to follow.
