Sally Rose Murray Obituary
Sally Rose Murray, 75, loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and friend formerly of Bridgman passed away peacefully September 4, 2024, at CrownPointe Communities of Stevensville, MI with loving family by her side.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 3 PM at Pebblewood Country Club, Bridgman, MI 49106. Online condolences accepted at www.Starksfamilyfh.com
Sally was born January 9, 1949, in Traverse City, MI to Douglas and Betty Homrich. She was the oldest of ten children. She graduated from Oak Ridge High School in Muskegon, MI in 1967. On May 23, 1971, Sally married the love of her life Gary Murray in Muskegon, MI, and instantly became a new Wife and new Mother to 6 children. Sally and Gary added 3 more children to this big happy Murray family. Sally spent the next 20 years as a housewife caring for her large family, she also spent 12 years working for Bridgman Public Schools before retiring with Gary in Northern, MI. Sally loved spending time playing golf, playing cards, or just an afternoon of shopping and lunch with friends and family; but most of all she loved being with her kids and grandkids. She will be greatly missed. Our family would like to give sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at CrownPointe in Stevensville, MI, and the amazing nurses and staff at Corewell Health Hospice and Palliative Care of Southwest Michigan.
Sally is survived by her children Craig (Dawnielle) Murray of Las Vegas, NV, Teri Murray of Rockford, IL, Tami Murray (Steve Fickes) of Soldotna, AK, Traci (Derek) Baxter of Las Vegas, NV, Gary (Erin) Murray of St. Joseph, MI, Brent (Stephanie) Murray of Caledonia, MI and Heidi (Jeff) LaGrow of Battle Creek, MI. 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Sally is also survived by her brothers Chuck (Janine) Homrich of Fremont, MI, Robert Homrich of St. George, GA and William (Deb) Homrich of Twin Lakes, MI. Sisters Betsy Michaelsen of Whitehall, MI, Deborah (Ronald) Wells of Muskegon, MI and Susan Homrich of Montague, MI, and 1 Brother-In-Law Dr. Harold Caldwell of Muncie, IN along with many nieces and nephews.
Sally was preceded in death by her Husband Gary Murray, her parents, Douglas and Betty Homrich, sons Jimmy Murray and Bryan Murray, brothers Tom Homrich, John Homrich, and Dick Homrich and Brothers-In-Law William Murray, Donald Murray and Paul Murray and Sisters-In-Law Rosemary Murray, Doris (Murray) Day, Carolyn Sue (Murray) Caldwell, Ruth Ellen Murray, Rebecca (Murray) Uphold and Robin Homrich
