Thomas K. Swisher Obituary
Thomas K. Swisher, 51, of Watervliet, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph following an extended illness.
A memorial service with Military Rites will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6th at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Burial of ashes will take place at a later date in Lakeshore Hagar Cemetery. Tom was born on December 28, 1972 in St. Joseph, Michigan to Larry L. and Brenda Swisher. He was a graduate of Coloma High School and then went on to earn his Associates Degree. Tom served his country in the United States Army as a Ranger from 1992-1998. In the private sector, Tom was a Master Electrician with IBEW Local 153 for over 25 years; 15 of which took place at the Cook Nuclear Plant in Bridgman. In his free time, Tom enjoyed coaching his son’s sports activities and deer hunting.
Tom is survived by his wife Ronda, whom he married on Oct. 21, 2000; his daughter Bailey Swisher and his son Colton Swisher, both of Watervliet; his father Larry L. (Joyce) Swisher of Coloma; his mother Brenda Swisher of Watervliet; his sisters, Lisa Swisher of Phoenix, Arizona, Allison (Dan) Haverkamp of Custer, Michigan and Emily (Doug) Goin of Whitmore Lake, Michigan; and his two canine buddies Diesel and Nuka.
