Wanda L. Bouchikas Obituary

Wanda L. Bouchikas, 81, of St. Joseph, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital. A Celebration of Life Services will be held on Monday, September 14, at 11 AM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Marlo Fritzke officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, September 13, from 12PM until 2PM at the funeral home. Wanda devoted more than 30 years to her career as a hairdresser, working at several salons throughout the area. She brought warmth and kindness to everyone she met and took great pride in caring for others.

In her free time, Wanda enjoyed crafting, sewing, working on puzzles, and playing games with family and friends. She treasured the time spent with those she loved and created many cherished memories throughout her life. Her loving spirit, creativity, and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Wanda is survived by her loving husband of nearly 59 years, Robert; children, Teresa (John) Dente of St. Joseph and Nicholas (Tammy) Bouchikas of Stevensville; grandchildren, Anthony Dente, Robert (Kennedy Turnbow) Dente, Cameron (Erika Knuth) Bouchikas and Rachel Selent; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Joseph, Beckner and one great-grandchild on the way; siblings, Albert Holmer, Jr., and Gloria Ballard; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Rhama; and siblings, Eugene, Joan, Norma and infant child, Mertyl Alice.
