The Box Factory for the Arts and MailMax are teaming up to sponsor the annual coloring contest with this year's theme of "Happy Owl-i-Days."
The Box Factory for the Arts and MailMax are teaming up to sponsor the annual coloring contest with this year's theme of "Happy Owl-i-Days." Children and adults alike are invited to paint, color, collage, feather, etc. using any medium to decorate an owl entry form. Entry forms are available online at www.boxfactoryforthearts.org/artcalendar.html#coloringcontest. or at the Box Factory, St. Joseph Library, Curious Kids Museum, and St. Joe Today. Prizes will be awarded to the best child's entry (Kilwin's gift certificate) and the best teen and adult entry (a turkey from Martins Super Market).
An entry fee will be assessed of $1 per owl for children up to age 10 and $5 for teens and adults. In lieu of an entry fee, non-perishable food items will also be accepted. All proceeds will go to Feeding America of West Michigan. The completed entries must be mailed or delivered to the Box Factory by December 13 and winners will be announced at the Dec. 14 open house and children's holiday sing-along. Entries will be on exhibit in the Box Factory's Riverwalk Gallery during the holidays.
