Bridgman Open-Air Market Back to School Drive

Bridgman Open-Air Market is excited to announce the start of their give back to the community. During the month of August, we will be hosting a back-to-school drive to support local teachers. Several of our vendors are teachers in Berrien County and as a community strive to support them.

“As we see often, our teachers put wishlist up each year, we have several who are vendors and we want to support them, along with others,” stated Rose Stachowiak, Market Manager.

We asked our teachers what items are on their wish list and here is what they said:

· Dry Erase Markers
· Sharpened Pencils
· Erasers
· Crayons, Coloring pencils, Markers
· Tissues
· Highlighters
· Glue Stick/ Liquid Glue
· Scotch Tape
· Sharpies
· Sticky Notes
· Composition Notebooks

“Our teachers are shaping the minds of the future and often support that with their own pocket money” said Chelsea Hull, Chelsea’s Custom Creations, “they reach out to the families for support, but often many do not have the means to do so. We here at Bridgman Open-Air Market are a family and we want to be able to support our family. We, together with the Bridgman Community support, want to be able to donate what we can to our teachers.”

We appreciate any donation to our Back-to-School Drive. This event will be held every Sunday in August from 9am-4pm. You will be able to find donation boxes at Bridgman Open-Air Market Board Member Tents. Just look for the lime green board member signs. We look forward to seeing everyone out at the Market!
