Artplay for Adults

Wednesday, November 5, 6:00pm  

Project: Printmaking with Household Items

 

Every month, explore different art materials and processes. No art skill required.

 

This month we will be making drypoint intaglio prints using household items. 

 

Drypoint intaglio is a type of engraving where the design is etched into the printmaking plate using a sharp point. 

 

We will be engraving on tetra paks and using a pasta maker as our printing press!  

 

No registration required.  All supplies included.  For ages 16+

Every 1st & 3rd Thursdays, 4:30pm - 6:30pm  

November 6 & 20

 

Let your imagination run wild in this evening craft program for kids.

 

Drop in for a guided craft, as well as time to independently create, using a variety of available materials.

 

Every first and third Thursday beginning October 16th.

 

No registration required.  All supplies included.  For ages 5 – 12.

3-D Printed Bird Feeders

Saturday, November 8, 10:00am  

 

Learn how to make a bird feeder from a 3D printed heart shape.

 

A quick, easy craft for the whole family.

 

One per family. While supplies last.

 

Please note: peanut butter, nuts and seeds will be used in the suet recipe.

Edmund Fitzgerald: The Legend Lives On

Monday, November 10, 5:00pm  

 

It has been 50 years since the sinking of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior during the height of a massive storm with the loss of the entire crew. 

Come learn about the Titanic of the Great Lakes and hear theories about how she met her end.

Learn about the history of Henna and get a FREE Henna tattoo!

 

Henna lasts for 5+ days and is suitable for all skin types.

Critter Connection

Saturday, November 15, 12:00pm - 1:30pm

 

Get up close to lizards, snakes and arachnids! Staff members Mandi and Kyle will bring in some of their cool critters and teach you all about them.

Food for Fines

Monday, November 17, 2025 - Saturday, January 3, 2026

  

Food for Fines will begin Monday, November 17, 2025 and will run through Saturday, January 3, 2026.

 

Bring in any amount of non-perishable goods (boxed & canned goods, toiletries, paper products) and we will remove the overdue fines on your account.


Please note, this only covers overdue fines (not lost or damage fees). 

 

You will need to bring your items to the desk so that we can waive your fines. 

 

All donations will benefit the local Bridgman area.
