“Come Fly With Me” Benefit Event
September 12, 2026 at 8:00 pm, Hanson Theater, Lake Michigan College
Since 2019, the Citadel Dance & Music Center’s annual fundraiser (Fly Me to the Moon) has transported audiences to the golden era of jazz through the timeless music of Frank Sinatra. The 2026 event will be slightly different than in past years. The performance will feature Big Band brilliance, spirited dancing in a jazz atmosphere. We invite you to celebrate the wonder of jazz and the legends who made it soar, by enjoying the talented musicians and dancers being featured.
ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
Featured performers at the event are the Lake Effect Jazz Big Band, vocalists Andrew Fisher & Rebecca Selvidge and the Citadel Dancers.
The Lake Effect Jazz Band is comprised of 23 musicians from Northwest Indiana & Southwest Michigan led by Steven Reed. LEJBB performs over 10 annual concerts and is the headliner at the Hastings & South Haven Jazz Festivals. Andrew Fisher is a well-known area performer and a Citadel voice instructor. Rebecca Selvidge is Director of Choirs/Music Lecturer at Lake Michigan College. The Citadel Dancers are led by Lari Lawrence-Gist, Director of Dance.

The Citadel Dance & Music is a 501.3c non-profit and provides year-round dance and music instruction to over 300 students of all ages in the Benton Harbor Arts District. Its mission is to inspire a sense of excitement and curiosity and to instill the disciplines of dance & music as Art forms and a way of life.
