Edward J. Pinkowski Obituary
Edward J. Pinkowski, 92 of Baroda, passed away, Monday, December 8, 2025 at his home.
Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 3903 Lake St., Bridgman, with Fr. Arthur Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda with Military Rites Conducted by Stevensville American Legion Post #568. Friends may visit with the Family from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday, December 15 and 9:30 until 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorial Donations in Ed’s name may be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Eternal Word Television Network. Ed was born May 4, 1933 in Chicago to Robert & Stella Pinkowski. He graduated from Carter Harrison High School in Chicago. Ed served his country for two years in the US Army as a helicopter mechanic while stationed in Germany. On July 12, 1958, he married the former Diane Pawl in Chicago. Ed was employed as a Production Supervisor at various companies in the Chicago area for most of his career before moving to Michigan, at which time he and Diane owned and operated DeMarcke Laundromat in New Buffalo.
Ed was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, and volunteered with the Boy Scouts while his sons were in scouts. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing whenever he could, working on cars for friends & family, but most of all, the time spent with his family.
Ed is survived by his wife Diane; his children-Mary Ann (Bill) Kabat, Robert (Margaret) Pinkowski, Kenneth (Marsha) Pinkowski, Catherine (Thadeus) Sitarz, Edward S. (Loree) Pinkowski; fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his sister Cecilia Powers; sister-in-Law Janet Pawl; and several nieces & nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his parents.
