Fly Me to the Moon, A Tribute to Frank Sinatra
atmosphere in the Grand Upton Hall at the Mendel Center. This fundraiser premiered in 2019 to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of the Citadel Dance & Music Center. The Lake Effect Jazz Band is a 22-piece big band led by Steven Reed, a well-known area performer and retired music educator. LEJBB performs over 10 annual concerts and is the headliner at the South Haven Jazz Festival. Andrew Fisher teaches voice at the Citadel and leads the Andrew Fisher Quartet.
Rebecca Selvidge is Director of Choirs/Music Lecturer at Lake Michigan College. The Citadel Dance Companies are Citadel’s premier dance ensembles led by Lari Lawrence-Gist, Director of Dance. The Citadel Strings, new this year is comprised of faculty & students and will join the band on 6 tunes.

The Citadel Dance & Music is a 501.3c non-profit and provides year-round dance and music instruction to nearly 300 students of all ages and is located in the Benton Harbor Arts District. Its mission is to inspire a sense of excitement and curiosity and to instill the disciplines of dance & music as Art forms and a way of life.
