Free Class on Heart-Healthy Cooking

In honor of American Heart Month, Lakeland HealthCare will offer “Cooking for Your Heart,” a free cooking class for community members. The presentation will include a cooking demonstration by a Lakeland registered dietitian, with taste-testing of the demonstrated recipe and tips on heart-healthy cooking techniques. Attendees will also learn about easy ingredient switches designed to help raise “good” cholesterol (HDL) and lower “bad” cholesterol.

“A healthy diet and lifestyle are the best weapons to fight cardiovascular disease,” said Heather Rudnik, Registered Dietitian, Lakeland HealthCare. “By making some simple changes part of your life, you can have a positive impact on your health and your heart.”

Pre-registration is preferred, but not required. For more information or to register, call (269) 556-2808 or (866) 260-7544.
