He received his M.D. from the University of Texas McGovern Medical School in Houston, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism honor societies. He completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he was elected chief resident. He then completed his fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Hall is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Hall has published more than a dozen peer-reviewed articles and review chapters, with a particular focus on refractive surgery outcomes and corneal disease. He has served on surgical and medical mission trips to Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica.
Dr. Hall's Christian faith shapes how he cares for patients and how he approaches his work. He and Lyndi have a daughter, Elliotte. They were drawn to southwest Michigan by Great Lakes Eye Care's commitment to providing excellent care for patients locally and globally, and by family in the area. Outside the clinic, he enjoys staying active and learning new things, including weightlifting, hiking, exploring Lake Michigan beaches, and experimenting in the kitchen.
