Home Watch of Southwest Michigan earns accreditation for the seventh year

Home Watch of Southwest Michigan has earned accreditation from the National Home Watch Association for the seventh year. The NHWA was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for Home Watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada (www.nationalhomewatchassociation.org). Home Watch is a visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues, which means that it is a service that “keeps an eye on things” at your vacation or primary home while you are not in residence. All principals of NHWA Accredited Member companies are background-checked, insured, and bonded.
Owner Jim Sarno is a life-long resident of Southwest Michigan. Living and working in the areas he services helps him provide a personal connection to his customers. Meeting potential clients and talking with them about the community is something Jim really enjoys. Working in municipal and private construction for the past 18 years, he has a reputable base of experienced professionals that his customers have come to depend on. If they find an issue at a home, Jim and his staff can take corrective actions right away. Many of their clients have contacted Home Watch of Southwest Michigan during the off-season for recommendations and referrals.
Home Watch of Southwest Michigan is looking forward to its seventh year in business, providing peace of mind for vacation homeowners who leave their summer homes on the Lake and locals who travel south to their winter homes.
Jim’s company continues to grow, despite the uncertainties of the past few years and increased competition because his clients like having the experience of the longest serving member of the NHWA in the State of Michigan and because they take the accreditation process and being bonded and insured very seriously. Jim and his team are also doing more for their customers every year, like helping them manage contract work, procuring reputable vendors to do necessary work on the homes they watch, and being available to answer questions and help them with most anything they need.
Jim is grateful to the NHWA for their seven years of membership and being the longest-accredited Home Watch business in Michigan. Jim and his staff look forward to “making your second home our first priority.”
