Krasl Art Center Announces A Weekend Full of Fun Holiday Events
Krasl Art Center is kicking off the holiday season with a vibrant weekend of creativity and community, hosting four exciting events December 4 – 6, 2025. From the beloved Clay Guild Merry Makers Market Sale and our festive Fall Finale & Annual Meeting to the high-energy Holiday Throw Down, the cozy Warm Up During Light Up the Bluff, and a joyful XL Family Fun Day, Krasl will be buzzing with opportunities for all ages to celebrate art, connection, and the spirit of the season.
Kicking off the weekend is the Fall Finale & Annual Meeting event held on December 4, 2025, from 6 - 8 PM. Celebrate creativity and community at Krasl Art Center’s Fall Finale & Annual Meeting. This free event invites art lovers and community members to explore, connect, and celebrate the transformative power of art. Whether you’re an artist, a supporter of the arts, or simply curious about what happens in Krasl’s studios, this event offers a chance to connect with students, faculty, staff, and fellow art enthusiasts. An added event to the Fall Finale & Annual Meeting is the Holiday Throw Down Competition held in the Clay Studios at 7 PM. Artists will compete in a series of challenges in our Clay Studios. Don’t miss watching 3 Minute Blindfolded Vessel, 1 Minute Teapot, Tallest Cylinder, and Sgraffito Plate Design Competition!
On December 5, 2025, from 6 - 8 PM, Krasl Art Center invites community members to the Warm-Up During Light Up the Bluff to celebrate the season during the City of St. Joseph’s annual Light Up the Bluff event. Guests can enjoy hot chocolate, live artists sketching Santa, and additional festive activities designed to enhance this cherished community tradition. Ben's Pretzel will be available on-site. This event is proudly supported by 1st Source Bank and Forte Coffee.
On December 6, 2025, from 10 AM - 2 PM, Krasl Art Center invites families to celebrate the season at the XL Family Fun Fest, a lively day designed to spark creativity, imagination, and togetherness. Highlights of the day include:
- Guests can purchase a $10 punch card granting access to a wide range of engaging activities tailored for children ages 5 –12, though all ages are welcome.
- Free activities will be available throughout the event, including a photo board, scavenger hunt, snacks, and more.
- Special scheduled features include a Holiday-Inspired Costume Parade at 12 PM, encouraging participants to showcase festive attire.
- A marionette puppet show performance of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas by puppeteer Jean Kuecher at 1 PM.
- Punch card activities include holiday-themed carnival games, craft stations, face painting, cookie and cupcake decorating, and additional seasonal offerings.
- A complimentary family photo station with a festive backdrop will also be available; attendees can provide their email to receive their group photograph after the event.
Our talented guild members will be showcasing their work and selling it to support future studio needs in the Krasl’s Clay Guild Merry Makers Market Starting during the Fall Finale & Annual Meeting on December 4th through the XL Family Fun Fest event on December 6th. It is the perfect time to shop for a unique and one-of-a-kind gift for the holidays!
