Lake Michigan College to host College Night event
Lake Michigan College to host up to 60 colleges and universities at College Night event on Sept. 16
Representatives from up to 60 colleges, universities, trade schools, and branches of the military will be on hand when Lake Michigan College hosts College Night at the LMC Mendel Center from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16. The Mendel Center is located on the College’s Benton Harbor Campus at 1100 Yore Ave.
The free event is for high school students and their parents who are exploring the college selection process. Adults considering attending college and students planning to transfer are also encouraged to attend.
Students should register for a barcode before the fair at www.lakemichigancollege.edu/collegenight. During the fair, colleges will scan barcodes to send more information about their schools. The day after the fair, attendees will receive a report with information on the colleges with whom they scanned.
“Think of this as your ultimate college exploration shortcut. In just one evening, you'll uncover more about your future options than weeks of endless website scrolling," said LMC Director of Admissions & Recruitment Eric Wignall. "There's nothing quite like looking a college rep in the eye and asking, ‘What internships does your school offer?’ or 'What makes your school special?' It's these face-to-face conversations that truly bring a college to life."
LMC staff will lead two financial aid information sessions at 6:30 and 7 p.m. Various financial aid options and tips for completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2025-2026 academic year will be among the topics.
