Neal A. Kreitner Obituary
Neal A. Kreitner, 84, of Coloma, passed away Saturday, December 6 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.
A funeral mass will be held at 1:30 P.M. Friday, December 12 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma, with burial following at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Watervliet. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Neal’s memory may be made to the Coloma Public Library. Neal was born January 22, 1941 in St. Joseph to Alvin and Helen (Arent) Kreitner. He graduated from Coloma High School, received his Bachelors degree from Michigan State University and was an Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War era. On February 4, 1967 he married Ann (Tavolacci) Kreitner and together they operated the 166 year old family farm, starting in 1965 until his passing. Neal was an avid reader, who loved visiting the public library, traveling and was a Civil War history enthusiast.
Neal is survived by his children, Jim (Samantha) Kreitner of Scotts, Mich., Karen (Craig) Davis of Coloma, Charlie (Tammy) Kreitner of Benton Harbor, and Kevin (Lisa) Kreitner of Sodus; two sisters; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ann in 2023 and his parents.
