Serious Personal injury crash Monday

On Monday, June 02, 2014 emergency crews were dispatched to a crash on Napier Avenue in front of the main entrance to Lakeland Medical Center located at 1234 Napier Avenue City of St. Joseph. The crash involved a motorcycle and a car. The driver of the motorcycle William Edwards 64 YOA of St. Joseph suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Lakeland Medical Center Emergency room for treatment. The full extent of his injuries is unknown. The driver of the car Duane Atkins 33 YOA of Benton Harbor sought his own treatment for possible minor injuries received in the crash. He was treated and released.

The crash was investigated by the St. Joseph City Public Safety Department and the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department crash investigation team.

The crash remains under investigation so no other information is being released at this time.
