South Bend Record Show returns with nearly 100 tables

The South Bend Record Show, one of the Midwest's largest vinyl and music expos, is back for its second installment of 2024. This musical celebration occurs on Sunday, April 7, at The Gillespie Conference Center, Hilton Garden Inn, 53995 IN 933, just north of St. Mary's College.

If you've never attended a record show but enjoy the experience of visiting record stores – sifting through bins, discovering artists, and engaging in music discussions – then the South Bend Record Show is a can't-miss event.

"We have an amazing roster of vendors for our Spring show, with several returning favorites, a handful of dealers who missed the previous few events, and some first-timers as well," said South Bend resident Jeremy D. Bonfiglio, the event organizer. Everyone has been busy restocking their crates, so there will be some real gems to add to everyone's collections. No one will walk away empty-handed."

Key Highlights:

  • Thirty-eight vendors from Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Indiana will occupy 94 tables, selling various music items. Explore pre-loved LPs, new vinyl releases, 45s, CDs, cassettes, posters, vintage stereo gear, music T-shirts, record supplies, and more.
  • All music genres are represented, strongly emphasizing classic rock, modern pop, metal, punk, garage, jazz, blues, R&B, and country.
  • General admission begins at 11 a.m. and costs $2. Early entry is 9 a.m. for $7.
  • Door prize drawings will be held at noon and 2 p.m. for the chance to win $25 shopping certificates and record products from BCW Supplies, the event's sponsor, based in Middletown, Indiana.
  •  BCW is giving away tote bags to the first 75 customers in the door.
  • Roundbelly’s Pizza is bringing its food truck to feed customers and vendors during the event.
  • Attendees are encouraged to bring cash, the preferred form of payment by all vendors. Select dealers may accept credit and debit cards, PayPal, Zelle, and Venmo.
  • Mark your calendars: The South Bend Record Show is a bi-monthly event. The next show of 2024 is scheduled for Sunday, June 2, at the same location.
