Twin City Players Presents
Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein

August 30 – September 22, 2024

Twin City Players announces the first production of its 2024-2025 92nd Mainstage Season, the hilarious musical, Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein (West End Version), book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan, music and lyrics by Mel Brooks, original direction and choreography by Susan Stroman. Opening night features complimentary wine from Lemon Creek Winery.

Comedy genius, Mel Brooks, adapts his legendarily funny film into this monster musical comedy. Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced "Fronk-en-steen") inherits his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced "Eye-gore"), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. "It's alive!" he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather's. With memorable tunes such as "The Transylvania Mania," "He Vas My Boyfriend" and "Puttin' on the Ritz," this is scientifically proven, monstrously good entertainment!
