Nancy Ellen Johnson Obituary

Nancy Ellen Johnson (Frahm), age 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. She was born on July 19, 1943, to Willis Ricklefs and Arlene (Poppe) Ricklefs in Anamosa, Iowa. Nancy’s father died when she was a young girl and was then adopted by Norman Frahm after he married her mother.

Nancy grew up in Clarence, IA where she met the love of her life, Ronald “Ron” L. Johnson. The two were married on May 19, 1962, and settled in St. Joseph, Michigan after Ronald retired from the United States Navy after serving over 20 years.

Nancy was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, and sister and will be missed by her daughters, Michelle (Carl) Brenner and Annette Johnson; grandsons, Shane Brenner and Shawn (Emma) Brenner; mother, Arlene Frahm; and siblings, Sandy Greig, Donna Ibsen, Kathy Ricklefs-Frahm Boxwell, David (Angie) Frahm, and Terry (Marcia) Frahm. Along with her husband, Ron, Nancy was also preceded in death by both of her fathers, Willis Ricklefs and Norman Frahm; and brother, Ronald “Ronnie” Frahm.

A private family burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph, MI. Arrangements entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI 49085.
