Sarah Elizabeth Woolcock Obituary

Sarah Elizabeth Woolcock (November 4, 1956-September 6, 2026) died of complications of a heart transplant performed in 1999.

She is preceded in death by her parents John A. and Mary E. Woolcock, and her brother Woody. She is survived by her husband Marc Rowland, son Max Rowland, stepdaughters Amy Rowland and Betsy Boynton, siblings John B. (Mary), Jim (Robyn), and Patty Woolcock, and Nancy (Bill) Wynes, and many nieces and nephews.

Sarah was known for her extraordinary courage during her career as a civil engineer and navigating health challenges for many years.

Funeral services will be held at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in Benton Harbor on Saturday, October 10 at 2 pm. Casual attire is encouraged. At Sarah’s request, donations can be made in her name to St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in Benton Harbor, or the John, Mary, and Sarah Woolcock Endowed Scholarship at Michigan Technological University."
