Patricia Jean Croy Obituary

Patricia (Pat) Jean (Valent) Croy, age 88, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026. She was born on September 7, 1938, to Stephen and Mary (Barham) Valent in East Chicago, Indiana. She married Ralph Croy on June 15, 1957. They were married for 59 years before Ralph’s passing in 2016.

A visitation with Patricia's family will take place on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 10:00 - 11:00 am at The Chapel, 4250 Washington Ave. Saint Joseph, Michigan 49085. A celebration of life service will take place following at 11:00 am. Burial will take place on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 11:00am at Assumption Catholic Cemetery 19500 S Cottage Grove Ave, Glenwood, Illinois 60425

Pat loved to watch the NFL, especially the Dallas Cowboys. She enjoyed attending choir concerts at The Chapel. She became a lover of Bingo and making crafts while living at The Willows.

Patricia is survived by her three children Vicki Pawloski (Ric), Tim Croy (Shellie), and Ed Croy; two grandchildren: Kelli Embry (Danny) and Matt Kwiatkowski (Sarah); four great grandchildren: Amelia, Vivian and Ellis Embry and Norah Kwiatkowski. One brother Larry Valent (Lee) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patricia was also proceeded in death by her daughter Valerie, brother Frank Valent, parents Steve and Mary Valent and nephew Steve Valent.
